Who we are
Glen Leven Presbyterian Church Day School is a Reggio-inspired childcare center, and a ministry of Glen Leven Presbyterian Church.
We offer full- and part-time programs for children from 6-weeks-old to pre-kindergarten age, and are recognized by the Department of Human Services as a 3 STAR quality center.
Glen Leven values its families and staff, and treasures its children.
We know that loving, responsive care is core to a child's well-being both today and in later life. Pairing that with a play-based model is how we grow curious children who are ready to learn.
Our Reggio-inspired model
Our Reggio-inspired model
Our curriculum is inspired by the Reggio Emelia approach to early childhood learning, in which children follow their curiosity and teachers facilitate further learning.
Our favorite description of the Reggio-inspired model is that learning is "child-initiated and teacher-framed" - with our thanks to staff at St. Vincent's Early Learning Center for the phrasing.
